04 January 2010

I purchased a new Bible to mark my year of "persistence", and on that note I am off to bed. Last nights insomnia is taking a toll. Apparently my hour long nap today did me no good.

Persistence

What (exactly) does that mean to me?

  • Persevering through the hard times
  • Smiling even when it hurts
  • Turning the other cheek
  • Not allowing disappointments to rule my life
  • Keeping my face towards the Son
  • Praying... and praying... and then praying some more
  • Remember that the glass is half empty
  • Focus on the positive
  • Being the better person
  • Learn from my mistakes
  • Realize that tomorrow is another day to try again
  • Believing in His Words

My word for 2010

I'm taking a page from Mandy @ Messy Canvas and picking a "word for 2010". I wish I could (honestly) say I prayed over my word of the year, and took time considering other words... but I can't. This decision wasn't even mine.

Persistence.

It came to me not even ten minuets ago. I came home from dinner and out of no where persistence came to mind, and God made it very clear that this was to be my "word for 2010".

I don't know what's going to happen this year, but I am determined to let down my guard and follow God on a new journey. Words cannot describe how excited I am right now. 2010 is going be a turning point.
